it did not show up, as it was there all along :) . regarding the mechanic, if you watch this ua-cam.com/video/NAElcGkdvys/v-deo.html , there are multiple possible failure points. The most common one is that mechanics don't tighten up the bolts in the right sequence, at the right torque or with a good torque wrench. Or he did not clean the surfaces.

depends on the work you do. topdon is very stable and reliable ... xtool has mileage correction and more eeprom writing / key programming, but sometimes is not able to do basic functions.

Your use scenario is exactly how I use the unit. That is the reason for which you don't need crazy specs. Android Auto runs on your phone. If you can justify the price difference I recommend to get the Xtrons from Amazon. The screen is better quality.

@@SAMW98SO 12.3: geni.us/EaOH (amazon) additional tip: Don't install the GPS sensor or the 4G/5G antenna. they are not needed. Also you make sure that the unit can't track you and it can't connect to the internet without you allowing it.

@@armedfpv8763 yes you can cut . Also you can buy a DPF delete Downpipe (so you can have your old dpf intact for cleaning). Yes you need to remap.

Is the brightness adjustable? (yes - can help you adjust it even more) Can you put the screen off when driving? (yes) When you put the gear in R, does the original screen pop up with the sensors? @@BestCarMods so universal key once is locked then cannot be unlocked like other original key used for other model

@@johnpham9038 the Autel universal key can be unlocked. you can do that from the km100 without having to open up the key and connect wires. check the menu. this is the big advantage with these keys. you can use them and reused without to much work.

@@motorcyc1 I have never used this tool to activate that function. I use Esys on a standalone computer. Also I don't like activating that function because in will lead to mirror failure.

@@BestCarMods how will it lead to failure when it is an optional programming by the dealership. Also I do have a fault on my interior mirror light sensor. That needs to be replaced. Hopefully that may be causing the problem. I ordered a new interior mirror to fix that.

unlocking keys is not dependent on the programming tool. It can unlock any original key that it has on the database. don't know about proprietary keys from Xhorse

this oil leak is common on the bmw, as long as it it not loosing excessively (you see fresh oil and drips on the ground where you park), you can drive it like it is. On my vehicle it lost less than 100-150ml in 4 years. I have done the oil change and after 4 years extracted it and it was not a major loss. Top it up from time to time and you will be ok.
